Just lettin' you know. I've been very busy with friends and school, so I haven't had much time to work on any art that wasn't school-related. And let me tell you, my studio class this past fall was awful. The woman lectured on the color wheel for two hours, just to hear herself talk, and while you may be thinking to yourself, "But Tak, color theory is important!", you would be misunderstanding me. She very literally talked about the color wheel for two hours, no color theory included really, just the bare bones of "this is a secondary color! " and that sort of thing. Only without the smily face, since she obviously hates teaching. We did a total of four project the entire semester, and for each one she would spend a week telling us about the project, sort of, except for anything about what she actually wanted us to do, and she wanted us to waste eighteen sheets of bristol paper for some inane color-scale thing. I really hated that class, and the weird thing was, she was convinced it was all my fault I didn't enjoy her not-teaching, and that if I was so upset I should go to an art school, never mind that I'm an English major. Talk about arrogant.

Anyways. Things have been pretty good this semester, though, and even though 2D Design was horrible, last year was good to me too--I mean, I went to Eclipse 2 and had even more fun--I ate birthday cake cut and handed out by Stephen Tobolowsky and talked to Dania Ramirez for an hour (she is really very sweet, even if her character is obviously a stock one, and she knows it), so how cool is that? I also got my first-ever boyfriend, and we're really great together, none of that fighting nonsense or drama, and I really can't imagine anyone better. I mean, he could look like Zachary Quinto, but then I'd be all like, "Whoa! What is Zachary Quinto doing in my boyfriend's apartment, naked??" Ha ha ha... Ha? Plus, I'm going on a travel-study to Yellowstone this August! This is costing me as much as both Eclipses, nearly (I do really wish I was going to the third one, I miss everyone so much, even if those two Sunday nights were some of the saddest I've experienced), but it's school-money, so I can get other people to pay for it.
